Aqara U500 Smart Gate Lock Specifications
The Aqara U500 Smart Gate Lock is purpose-built for metal and iron gates, providing secure smart access control for entrances where traditional smart locks are often unsuitable. Unlike standard door locks, the U500 features biometric authentication and key access on both sides of the gate, preventing unauthorized access through gate openings while ensuring convenient entry and exit.
Powered by Matter over Thread and supporting the latest Aliro digital key standard, the U500 integrates seamlessly with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Home Assistant, and the Aqara ecosystem. Apple Home Key support allows users to unlock the gate effortlessly using an iPhone or Apple Watch, even when the device is offline or low on battery.
For enhanced security, the lock features a high-resolution fingerprint sensor capable of storing up to 50 fingerprints with locally encrypted AES-protected credentials. Users can also unlock using passwords, remote access, voice commands, Bluetooth, temporary passwords, and mechanical keys, providing flexible access management for families and visitors.
Designed for outdoor durability, the U500 features a solid metal construction, reinforced dual-hook latches, IP65 weather-resistant protection, automatic locking through a built-in gyroscope sensor, and up to 7 months of battery life from four AA batteries. A USB-C emergency charging port ensures reliable access even when battery power runs low.
