The Aqara Smart Lock U400 Kit uses advanced Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to detect when you approach the door, allowing your iPhone or Apple Watch to function as a hands-free Apple Home Key that unlocks the door without tapping or entering codes.
It supports Matter over Thread for smooth ecosystem compatibility and features a long-lasting rechargeable battery, IP65 weather resistance, BHMA-certified hardware, an advanced fingerprint reader, and an auto-lock function for reliable security and convenience in a sleek, modern door lock.
Installation & Compatibility
- An Aqara Hub M100 is included in the kit for integration through the Aqara app.
- Apple HomeKit and Apple Home Keys require an Apple HomePod.
- Suitable for wooden doors with a thickness of 35–55 mm.
- Gate installation includes a gate lock box for standard Singapore HDB gates.

Voice prompts and a partially lit keypad notify you when the battery reaches 20%, and the UWB indicator light changes from green to yellow to signal low power.
For added convenience, the USB-C port supports emergency power from a power bank or any USB-C-to-USB-C compatible device, ensuring you never get locked out.

Quiet Mode and Auto-Locking with Full Hub Access
The U400 smart lock features auto-locking, which engages automatically when the door closes using a built-in gyroscope. You can easily control this function via the app, the Action Button, or voice prompts.
A Do Not Disturb mode lets you lower volume and mute noncritical alerts for a quieter home. You can also create automations, such as turning on lights, air conditioning, or cameras when the door is unlocked. Integration with the Video Doorbell G410 allows you to see who’s at the door and unlock in a single flow.
When paired with the Aqara Hub M100, the U400 acts as a Matter Controller, enabling:
- Remote control of locking and unlocking
- Adding periodic or temporary passwords remotely
