Before you start, ensure you have the following:
- A compatible IglooHome lock.
- An active IglooHome account.
- The IglooHome mobile app installed on your smartphone.
- An Amazon Echo device (or Alexa-enabled device).
- The Alexa app installed on your smartphone.
- A stable Wi-Fi connection.
Pairing Your IglooHome Lock with Amazon Alexa: A Quick Overview
Step 1: make sure you have an Igloohome lock account
- Download the Igloo Home app from the App Store or Google Play.
- in or create an IglooHome account.
Step 2: Ensure Bridge and Lock Pairing
Note: If your igloohome lock doesn’t have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi features, you’ll need the Wi-Fi Bridge to connect for mobile access
- No worries! We’ll assist you in setting up the Wi-Fi Bridge and pairing it with your igloohome app account for seamless mobile access.
- Important: If your igloohome lock has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features, follow the instructions in Step 3.
Step3: Pair your lock to the Igloohome account
- After logging into your account, select “Pair New Lock”.
Next, go to the Configure Station and choose “Add Locks”, then follow the on-screen instructions (this step is for existing users or for pairing additional locks). - A list of properties will appear; select the property (e.g., Home, Office).
Next, choose the lock model (e.g., Mortise, Rim Lock). - Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your device and select the Product ID. Once the lock is successfully paired, you’ll need to rename the lock.
- This process must be completed within the Bluetooth range of your lock.
Step 4: Enable the IglooHome Skill on Alexa
If you don’t have the Amazon app install Play Store and log the account
- Open the Alexa App on your smartphone or tablet.s
- Go to the Menu and select Skills & Games.
- Search for “IglooHome” in the search bar.
- Select the IglooHome skill and tap Enable to Use.

Step 5: Link Your IglooHome Account with Alexa
- When you enable the app after that. A login screen will prompt you to sign in to your IglooHome account.
- Enter your IglooHome username and password to connect your account to the Alexa skill.
- Once linked, a confirmation message will display: “IglooHome Skill is Now Linked.”
Step 6: Discover Devices with Alexa

If the discovery process doesn’t start, manually trigger it:
- Go to the Devices tab in the Alexa app.
- Select Add Device, choose Lock, and follow the on-screen instructions.

- Once your locks are found and connected next continue to “set up the device”
Step 7: Organize Your Lock in a Group (Optional)
- Add the lock to a specific group for better control. (Example: Add your lock to the Living Room group.)
- Then press the continue button the device is ready to use shown on the screen then press “done”
- This set up ready to Use voice commands like, “Alexa, is the Living Room door locked?”
Step 8: Test the app & voice options
Once the pairing is complete, go to the device category on view
Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner, test these common Alexa commands then enable both Unlock by App and Unlock by Voice options.
- Unlock by App: This option lets you enter the password for your Alexa account.
- Unlock by Voice: This redirects you to the next page to set up and confirm your voice code.
After enabling Unlock by Voice, the app will prompt you to set up a 4-digit voice code.
Enter a secure code that you’ll use for unlocking your lock. (Example: Choose a unique PIN such as “4958.”
Confirm the code by re-entering it to ensure accuracy.
Step 9: Test Voice Unlocking
- Say, “Alexa, unlock [Lock Name].”
- Alexa will ask for your 4-digit voice code.
- Speak the code. If it’s correct, the lock will unlock.
